Ferruginous Pygmy Owl

This is the smallest owl in the world. The bird is entirely hand carved from basswood and painted with acrylic colors. It is mounted on a hand carved wooden base. This magnificent, fully-detailed carving measures 5  7/8 inches from top of the head to the end of the tail.Glass eyes and the feet are hand made from modeling putty. I signed this bird.
